Attaching neatly to most vehicles, these self-standing retractable awnings fit onto the side of most roof racks and roof bars, and are conveniently stored for immediate use on arrival.

Specifically designed for harsh wilderness conditions, the awnings feature anodized height adjustable telescopic legs, Velcro ties to secure roof, thick reinforced aluminum extrusions all secured and free from the outside elements in a heavy duty nylon reinforced PVC bag. Constructed from tough PU coated 300gsm poly/cotton rip stop canvas, the awnings are fully waterproof and offer a UVP 50+ rating. ARB Awnings come in three great sizes, and fit up to 82.5" high mounting points.

we have the zipper fabric encased awning on our transit connect and we love everything about that version except the zipper to access the awning. The aluminum case with bungee straps is a huge design improvement. I had to create my own brackets since we dont have a roof rack and I wanted to mount to van deck to allow it to come down the sidewall for easier ground access. Other than that, very easy install.

Got the package today. The packaging made me think it had a rough trip 😕 but the product wasn't dented and there was only a few minor scratches on the case. I am sure it will get more during my travels so no worry.I installed with a friend and it looks great. The legs and polls had some bigger scratches. They kind of looked used, but the canopy itself looked felt and smelt new. I'll inspect further tomorrow to make sure the poles only have scratches and no damage. It's a camping set up so I am not afraid of cosmetic issues as long as nothing was shipped that might have dents or possible failings.

Main concern was the wind noise, bit even driving at 75 to 80 mph it is barely noticeable. Does provide great shade, love it.
