Doesn't work very well with Bakflip X4S - Updated

I like this extender quite a bit but it doesn't really work with the Bakflip X4S hard rolling toneau cover. The latches for the cover extend far enough out that you can't rotate the bed extender in and out. I will just store it in the garage when not in use but I was hoping to be able to rotate it in and out freely.

Update - I found a solution for compatibility with the X4S tonneau cover. I added a 1.5 inch metal spacer to the bracket with longer screws and the extended now rotates freely. Photo in the review.

Fits 2021 Ranger Super Crew

It fits the 2021 Ranger Supercrew!! I just installed it on my new 2021 Ranger Lariat Supercrew which has a spray on factory liner and a Bakflip Tonneau Cover and it fits perfectly, no problems. Remember, If you have a spray on bed liner you will have to clean out the bracket threads on your truck with a M6X1 Threading tap. The bed extender is strong, light, easy to install and made in the USA.

Looks and works fantastic!

Easy install, appears to be well made and will be super useful. Installed with a a bed liner and soft roll cover with out am issue. Claim is doesn’t fit a 2021 Ford Ranger but I it does.

A few other reviews mentioned this problem but unfortunately I didn't see it before attempting my installation.

If your truck has a spray bed liner you will need to clean out the threads with a tap before attempting to install this. Otherwise you'll need so much force to get the bolts in that they will snap.

I saw some folks blaming this on cheap materials from the product. Not the case - the bolts they provide are perfectly fine as long as the threading on your truck is clean.

I will say that the manufacturer could probably put a specific warning about it in their packaging - maybe they did but I didn't see it.
