Exactly What I needed

Had my reservations about purchasing this product as the official website for this stated that I needed to add spacers if I had the factory bed cover which I do. After reading some reviews, I decided to take a chance. No regrets... Install took less than hour. The extender is very light and easy to flip in both directions. Best of all, I had plenty of room to work the hold down latches for my cover. The biggest pain as some others had stated, was to install the nut that holds the bracket. This gets installed behind the tail lights. If you have gorilla hands like me, plan on some band aides as part of your install (these should be included in the kit IMO).
Anyway, I would recommend this product.

Perfect addition for my GMC Sierra. Well made and light weight.

I'd been looking for a bed divider to help keep stuff from rolling around the bed of my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. I had purchased (and quickly returned) a divider from GMC that didn't fit due to my tri-fold Tonneau cover. I hadn't considered a bed extender. I guess I just hadn't taken into consideration that it also serves as a divider when flipped inwards. I'm very glad I came across this item. It was about half the price of the extender that I returned and I am extremely happy with it. It's light weight and easy to remove/replace. It does require some assembly and installation.
I was a little disappointed that the manufacturer does not have an installation video available but luckily I did find a user submitted one on YouTube, specifically for my truck model. AMP Research should really consider doing this...
The installation isn't difficult (once you know how everything goes... thanks YouTube) but does require you to remove your tail lights and drill two holes on each side. The instructions do include a VERY helpful template and everything fits perfect in the end.
I absolutely recommend this item. Fits perfect with my GMC tri-fold Tonneau cover. It does not interfere with the rails from Tonneau cover and leaves enough space from the rop of the extender as well as from the side, so that the Tonneau cover can still easily be opened/closed.

Quality product, wise modification for truck owners.

Shipped in a timely manner, all parts included, relatively easy to install, great addition to my truck. With a tri-fold tonneau cover and this bed extender folded inward, this serves as a solid “trunk” without items flying around on the bed. Locking handles for the cover hit against the bed extender but manageable. Easy to remove completely if need be.
