Details: Description This lightweight, yet rock-solid bumper step assist employs a rugged die-cast aluminum alloy linkage assembly that is crafted in the USA. Black anodized and PTFE coated for maximum corrosion protection. Precision, stainless-steel hinge points and press-fit bushings ensure trouble-free action and reliable, maintenance-free operation for decades. Die-cast-aluminum alloy linkage components and precision-machined pivot points give BedStep rock-solid stability. The ridged, non-slip step is molded of strong glass-reinforced resin, for safe footing even in mud, snow or ice. Strong and rugged, this non-slip, retractable bumper step quickly flips down with the nudge of your foot providing a faster, easier and safer way to load or unload your pickup’s cargo. Supports up to 300 lbs. Frame mounts under the rear bumper so it works even with an open tailgate or when towing.

Easy to use

I had this installed this morning 7-19-21, at a trim shop and it works wonderful.. I am a short woman with bad knees and I can't climb up into the back of my truck very well anymore so needed a little help. This little step flips down from underneath the bumper with just the touch of my toe on the corner where my finger is in the photograph and I've got an easy way up.. Flips right back up when not in use. So easy to flip back up, you can do it with a bare foot.. The weight limit of the step is 250 lbs.. I like it so much that I'm going to have one put on the other side of the tailgate. It's great for us short people, kids or anyone who just wants an easy step up into the back of their truck.

Installed it today on my 2013 F-150 XLT. To do it right, following the instructions to a tee, you will need, among other things, a 21mm deep well socket and a torque wrench that will do 80 ft. lbs. (for the 2 bumper nuts where the step bolts to.) There is a needed tool list in the instructions. Anyway, this step looks, feels, and seems to be extremely well made. I'm just over 200 lbs. and it holds me just fine. If you're tired of trying to climb into the bed of your F-150, this is just the ticket for you. It is spring loaded and extends and retracts very easily. You can manipulate it very easily by foot or by hand. There are lower cost options out there (other steps, ladders, etc.) but I think this is well worth the money. I especially like that it uses existing bolts/nuts and does not require any drilling. I think you'll love it too.
