Not what it say it is

Not for 8.8... it's for a for 9inch

Like them but don't love the.

On deceleration or light throttle it sounds like straight cut gears. Hope they get more quite after a break-in period. My 06 Mustang got 19.5mpg on the freeway and at 74mph turns 2500rpm. 4th gear now pulls like 3rd with 3.55s. Wish I had done sooner.

Excellent Product

Bought these to replace a bad set of Richmond EXCEL 3.90 gears (excessive whining.....found out that these were patterned after the old OEM Ford 9 3.89 ratio 9 pinion\35 ring tooth count which is a non-hunting pattern that is known for excessive whining, even if setup correctly). These Motive F888390 3.90 gears are a 3.91 ratio 11 pinion\43 ring tooth count which is a full-hunting pattern that is known to run quiet when setup correctly. Got all swapped in & setup....... gears now run virtually silent. I got lucky & got these as a second (had packaging damage but the product inside was untouched so still NIB condition) for a song.

Very Good Gear Set

I paired this (4.30) gear set in my 03 Mach 1 with a Ford install kit and Ford lsd rebuild with royal purple 75w90 and Friction modifier and it has no whine when operating. Gear Set is very smooth and install was perfect.
